Last time I saw Poles so excited as in this video was when first LOT - Polish Airlines, Dreamliner arrived to Poland.

To be honest I can't wait riding this beauty from Gdańsk to Kraków.

^^ I guess we will have to wait a bit longer before it would be able to ride Pendolinos to Baltic States, so far priority is to connect Poland with high speed rails with the biggest Polish agglomerations, Germany and then with southern Europe via Czech Republic.

What about "Rail Baltica" plans in Poland?

You need appropriate infrastructure to use Pendolinos, for the nearest future it will be available between Gdańsk, via Warsaw, Katowice to Kraków. Route between Warsaw and Kraków is already suited for high speed while route between Gdynia/Gdańsk is under reconstruction and will be ready till the end of 2014.

PKP Intercity (Polish rail operator) has ordered 20 high-speed trainsets from Alstom in a deal worth 665 million euros.

The new trains, which enter service in December 2014, will create a high-speed link between the north and south of the country, connecting Gdynia, Warsaw and Krakow/Katowice.

They needed to ask Dutch railway operator PYRA about these trains first, before ordering. Dutch have quite tricky experience about using these trains in winter

This is some good news. It's amazing how Poland is fixing its transport system. What is the designated maximum speed of those trains? They seem similar to New Pendolino which are capable of 250km/h. What is the design speed of those lines?

Vizualiai žiūrint į vagono vidų, atrodo, kad vagono plotis daug siauresnis, nei mūsų traukinių, ne tik tais 7 centimetrais dėl siauresnės vėžės. Ar tikrai taip?

Taip, ne tik platesni, bet ir aukštesni. Mūsų vagonai gali būti ne daugiau 3400mm pločio, jų - ne daugiau 3150mm.

Zwardon, paskutinė stotele Lenkijoje, tolumoje matosi Slovakija. Atvažiavome iš Katovicų (19 zlotų), elektrovežis, apvažiavęs vagonus, katik prisikabino važiuoti atgal.
