Excellent.
After riding in Germany on the concrete autobahns I somehow started to appreciate concrete more.

In old times contrete technology wasn`t friendly for car suspention. But A2 highway uses the newest concrete technology so pavement should be very smooth and silent.

Last year opened A4 section between german border and Bolesławiec was constructed also in concrete technology and users of the highway are very pleased when riding on it.

Dar vienas įspūdingas greitkelio projektas. Man asmeniškai Lenkijos kelių statybos mąstai švelniai tariant, tiesiog atima atima žadą.

Nieko stebėtino. Lenkijos keliai buvo švelniai tariant, visiškai neadekvatūs srautams ir dar ne vieno šimto kilometrų greitkelių ir autostradų reikės, kad bent jau kažkiek nukrauti tuos kelius..
Manau atidarius šiuos kelius, jie jau pirmomis dienomis bus ganėtinai užsikimšę nuo transporto, tik kad gal greitis bus didesnis- nebus šviesaforų ir pėsčiųjų perėjų kas 100 m

Vistik mane labiau stebina ne lenkų, o slovakų projektai- tuneliai, estakados, tiltai kalnuose, didžiojoje šalies dalyje puikiai išvystyta infrastruktūra. Ypač įspūdingos Bratislavos greitojo eismo gatvės ir atskirtos autostrados miesto teritorijoje. Lenkams tik mokytis iš visų kaimynų- vokiečių, čekų, slovakų, lietuvių, net baltarusių (kol kas). Tik Ukrainą ir telenkia, tai lai dirba!

Most roads will be built with help of EU funds. Poland got 70 bil. EUR for period 2007 - 2013 and most of this money will be spent on infrastructure. So in 2013 Poland will have european stadard road network. Whole seen on this map will be finished until 2014.

Unfortunately S61 expressway that connects Lithuanian Border with Warsaw will be finished until 2015 (parts of this road will be ready earlier: Suwałki and Augustów bypass, Szczuczyn baypass).

Same as Rail Baltica...is put away for the future. Now priority for Poland is E2012 tournament and western parts of country where traffic is the most dense.

Money from EU?

At the moment in Poland we have under construction:

Highways -362 km

2 Roadways x 2 Lanes Expressways - 406 km

1 Roadway Expressways - 23 km

So construction works are huge.

Now we have in use:

Highways - 920 km

Expressways - 610 km

There are tenders closed for another few hundreds km of Highways ana expressways so contruction should start soon:

Red - under construction
Violet - undergoing project (in project and build closed tender)
Yellow - tender
Brown - tender (project and build system)
Blue - enviromental decision undertaken (next step tender)
