Barnaul from May till December of 2007 (58 pics)

Welcome to Barnaul, the city located in the SW of Siberia, 200 km south of Novosibirsk on the River Ob.

Barnaul's population is 600,000 in city and 660,000 in metro area.
The city was founded in 1730.

Here are some most interesting photos in my opinion taken by me from May till December of 2007.

I quite agree! In fact, there are LOTS of beautiful photos in this huge collection, I think. What strikes me the most are the bold colors on many of the buildings! I'm also particularly intrigued with the snow pictures and with this darling building:

And you didn't forget my favorite, Anastasia! Doesn't she look great?

What also strikes me is the HUGE number of new buildings, and I see by the many cranes that construction is continuing at a busy pace.

And may I ask about the railroad tracks? Are they still functional for passenger or freight trains? Or are they now part of Barnaulas' public transit system?

At any rate, THANK YOU, SIBERIAN!!!

              That was an amazing show.

I'm not really understand what railroad tracks do you mean, probably those tram ways?? Barnaul has high-speed trams, that's why the rails are over ground, like railroads.
