    Bamberg (Germany)

I just come back from Germany (Franconia, Northern Bavaria) where I had a lot of fun with my German friends and most of all drank a lot of !

I had little time, being there for just a weekend, but we managed to do a daily trip to the wonderful town of Bamberg, UNESCO World Heritage listed and one of the most beautiful towns in Germany and central Europe.

Here are some pics I collected on Saturday.

    Aciu, Karletai!

Say, you sure do get around! Indeed Bamberg, small and generally unknown as it may be, is one of Germany's many Old and Beautiful Cities, rightly bearing the UNESCO World Heritage title. Regensburg isn't far away, and it, too, got the coveted designation, along with your home town Genoa, at the recent Vilnius meeting.

I know that German beer is fabulous throughout the country, but why were you guys drinking beer when the great regional Franconian wine was the way to go?

Oh no, I prefer Italian wine, while Franconian beer is very good too!

You're right, I love a good Pinot Grigio with my dinner!
