    NO. Leksvikas / Leksvik

    Leksvik
    Nord Trųndelag - Norway

Leksvik is the place im living in, and the place i've been living in for 17 years. Leksvik is a small town or
village situated north of Trondheim with 1 073 inhabitants. Leksvik is too small to be known for anything
international. But Leksvik is known both in Norway and internationally for our high-tech industries which
has developed to become advanced and requested. In the last 10 years a new downtown has been built
and exist of 12 stores in 5 different buildings surrounding the main square. Other things that might be
interesting is our 350 year old wooden church and the ruines after a WWII base on Våttåhaugen.

Fagerheia, mountains surrounding the western edge of Leksvik.

The fjord, with Trondheim in the background.

    Leksvik in the summer again.

Leksvik a couple of weeks ago.

An abonbed farm which is now been used as a vacation house.

Bjųrnåa, the largest waterfall in Leksvik, about 100m tall.

Im sorry, but i don't have many images from Leksvik yet. Took a lot of images two years ago, but the quality
is really low, and some new buildings has been completed after that. Im preparing to take a lot of images
    this year none the less.

This is something far from a lake its a fjord with salt water. Its water from the Atlantic Ocean/Norwegian Ocean.

Some images from the scenery around Leksvik. Today i took a short trip to a dive about 10km east of downtown Leksvik. This dive is about 200m high.

Not the dive, but the view in Bergbygda.

            Zoom in on Dretvik.

Panorama from the topp of the dive. View towards south, with Trondheim somewhere in the white behind.

            View towards the east.

Verdal, a small city further in the fjord. You are able to see the gigantic platform feets they are making at the harbour there.

A camping village on the other side of the fjord.

A old abonded farm almost below the dive.

            Don't fall down!

            Close look.

Not much urbanity here, but i hope you enjoyed it afterall.

And finally some images from downtown Leksvik:

The main square surrounded with 4 large and one small building with some 12 stores.

Residentials with the waterhotel as the largest building.

              Panorama from the streets.

The church which is from the 17th century.

beautiful photos Christian, thanx for sharing! Norway is sure a must-see country with some astonishing landscapes! I've visited the country quite a number of times already and I might visit it again some time later just to have that fresh breath of air.

I hope Christian doesn't mind me posting these pix from Norway:

                          nice, huh?

After a cold night with temperatures below -2c i woke up to snow today. It has been two weeks with temperatures around 15c and sun, so it started to become quite green, however today we had winter. A few centimeters snow, which probably is going to melt quite fast when the temeperature goes above zero.

The snow stayed on the ground down to 100m, but melted as fast as it hit the ground further down.
